DESIGNING FOR CMS
It's important to find out what platforms are being used, whether there are any constraints or limitations to be aware of in the very initial stages of the process in order to factor them in during the design and implementation.
InVision is an integral part of my design process from obtaining feedback through the comments feature to testing content flow and design consistency. Various iterations of the design development is captured on InVision not only to document progress, but also acts as a central place for team collaboration.
When faced with challenges, I try to emphasize the importance of adapting process to accommodate for unexpected curveballs. We overcame numerous challenges throughout the duration of the project and built on the experience of our collective learnings.
My team and I design design a series of page layouts that were critiqued and revised both internally and by client.
With content being developed in tandem with the design, we often had to work with placeholders and factoring in content types at this stage of the design. Once finalised content was available, we were then able to make adjustments and amendments for context to improve the UI and UX.
DESIGN PROCESS & PROJECT CHALLENGES
This is an insight into various steps in the design process which I often undertake depending on the remits and constraints of the project. Here are some snaps shots into my involvement with initial content mapping, UI concepts, basic site structure, content layouts and InVision prototyping.
